About our hiring process
Giving you an enjoyable and fair interview experience is really important to us at SWD. We know how stressful it can be to apply for jobs at the moment, especially if you’re applying to multiple companies or juggling applications alongside a full-time job or contract.
We value your time and commitment, so these are our commitments to you:
- We won’t leave you hanging. At every stage, we aim to get back to you within 5 working days. Please give us a nudge if you’re ever waiting longer than this!
- We’ll be flexible with our interview scheduling. We always have a range of interview slots available via Calendly, and if they don’t work for you, just let us know so we can work something out.
- We’ll give you a fair assessment that allows you to put your best foot forward. We’ll always explain any requirements and assessments in advance, and we’ll make any reasonable adjustments to the assessment if you have a disability or other requirements.
- We believe every stage in our process should be a two-way interview, so it’s important that you also get the chance to assess if our business is right for you. We’ll always leave time in our interviews for you to ask questions, and you’re also welcome to ping us with a question at any point.
Discovery Interview - 20 minutes
Our first interview is an opportunity for both parties to explore the notion of working together.
What to expect:
- we will expect you to know who we are and what we do - just check out our website!
- you can demonstrate understanding of our specialism (PIM & MDM)
- you can give an idea of the role you would like to play (check our roles here)
- you are happy to give some practical details like salary and rate expectations, location requirements & current circumstances
Culture Interview - 50 minutes
Our second interview is a way of learning how we live and breathe our cultural values and how they align with your values.
What to expect:
- we are a consultancy business and happy clients are our number one priority, therefore this interview focuses purely on you alignment to our culture values
- this is a formal interview where we will ask you a series of questions that relate to your experience aligned with our values
- be prepared to give real world examples you have faced your past career and inside businesses or clients
Technical Interview - 60 minutes
Now we know you are a great cultural fit for our business, we move onto the competency expectations.
What to expect:
- we are a specialist PIM and MDM consultancy, so our technical interview is wholly focused on your hard skills, experience and capabilities in this area
- be prepared to give tangible answers and use specific case studies to demonstrate what you deliver and how
- questions will be specific to the role you are applying for
Meet the team interview - 45 minutes
A chance for you to meet with 1 or 2 consultants and the CEO to talk shop! We can use this for when we engage an associate on our network too. A technical task may be asked to be completed and presented at this stage depending on the seniority and technicality of the role you are going for
